 Frostguard

Frostguard is a self-limiting heat tracer providing the ultimate solution for frost protection of all types of pipelines and vessels- Evolved from a family of tracers developed for the process industry. Frostguard is able to offer a pedigree that is second to none.

Constructed from a high density self-limiting core, Frostguard demonstrates the ability to adjust its power output according to surface temperature; thus reducing output as the temperature increases and accordingly increasing output as the surface temperature decreases, Frostguard can therefore provide power where required, preventing unnecessary overheating of the pipe or vessel and its contents.

The twin bus wire circuit, not unlike that of an electric supply cable, enables Frostguard to be cut at any point along its length, thus ensuring flexibility of design and ease of installation, eliminating the need to ascertain the exact tracer length prior to site visit.

Where extra mechanical protection is required or where earth continuity is of utmost importance, Frostguard is available with a stainless steel overbraid; and if it is to be installed in a chemically aggressive environment then Frostguard can be supplied with a polymer oversheath.

Flowguard

Ftowguard is a parallel circuit constant power output heat tracer providing a low cost heating system. Flowguard can be used where pipelines or vessels need to be held at elevated temperatures to allow the contents to flow or to prevent spoiling.

However, the uses for Flowguard do not end here; it can be used for frost protection of pipelines and vessels where temperature excursions up to 200°C may be experienced. Specially developed from a family of tracers having more than 10 years service, Flowguard is able to demonstrate a successful track record equal to your expectations.

Constructed from extruded silicone rubber with zoned heating circuits, Flowguard generates its nominal power output rating throughout its operating temperature range. The current carrying twin bus wires, not unlike those of an.electric supply cable, integrated with the zoned heating circuits (each zone being approximately 1 metre in length) enables Flowguard to be cut along its length, thus ensuring flexibility of design and ease of installation, eliminating the need to ascertain the exact tracer length prior to site visit.

Where extra mechanical protection is required or where earth continuity is of utmost importance, Flowguard is available with a stainless steel overbraid.

... Desciption

Each factory terminated ITW/SS tape is constructed from a go and return PTFE insulated resistance wire which is covered in a stainless steel overbraid offering high mechanical strength and earth continuity. Each type is terminated into an IP65 rated gland with 150mm long terminating tails. The FTW/SS variant is BASEEFA approved for use in Zone 1 and 2 Hazardous Areas. It has integral hot to cold joint with a 500mm long cold lead.
